Celebrate Sunflower Dome Treat Cup

When I was cleaning my craft room, I found some sweet treat cups that I had since maybe two years ago!!?? I guess I must love the treat cups so much that I still have eight boxes left. ? I decided to use these cups to make something cute for my Open House. The first thing jumped into my mind was the “Celebrate Sunflower” stamp set. The first time I heard about the “Rubber stamp” was in a department store in Taiwan in 1994. The moment I saw a lady at a demonstration on the embossing powder and heating tool, I was hooked. My first stamp was the “Sunflower” single stamp and it just looked like the Sunflower we have in the new book?

I used these beautiful Sunflowers to make a Dome Treat Cup. The new Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper pack has 48 sheets of patterned paper: 4 each with 12 double-sided designs. These graceful flowers representing each of the four seasons make this paper a versatile, all-year choice. Two of the designs have sunflowers which is a perfect match with the Sunflowers that I am using in the lid.

I used one large Sunflower and one small Sunflower and stacked them together. The colors that I used to color the flowers were Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede. The Stampin Blend Markers are perfect to color the large images, because you don’t leave painting strokes. You also can blend the colors to create a natural flower look.

I used the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment as “shaker” for this project. The shinny finish sequins has the Pretty Peacock element which matches the sunflowers and the green background in the treat cup together.
