Card: Our Friendship isn’t One Big Thing

Have you seen the “Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper” in the Occasion Catalog?  There are two designs printed vellum in the pack and both of them are very pretty.  Today I want to show you a card to feature one of the printed vellum papers in the pack.

This printed vellum paper has very pretty leaves and flowers.  I like to put the white paper behind the vellum to show the contrast of the beautiful images.  If you put a different color paper behind the vellum paper, it will have a totally different look.  You can play with the colors to see which effect you like the most.

Here are the measurements for the paper

• Rich Razzleberry-
  • 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (cut 8 1/2 x 11 paper in half in long way)
• Whisper White –
  • 4 x 5 1/4 (inside card for message)
  • 2 3/8 x 5 1/4 (Same size as the vellum paper)
  • 2 x 3 1/2 (cut out stitched rectangle)
• Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP):
  • 2 3/8 x 5 1/4 (Same size as the Whisper White base)

Here is how:

• Fold the Rich Razzleberry paper in half.
• Use the Wonderful Floral Framelits Dies to cut the leave border.
• Glue Floral Romance vellum to the Whisper White base.   Depends on how you cut the leave border, the width of the Vellum and white paper may be varied.  Because there will be a sentiment over the vellum so, I only put the glue on the area that can be hided.
• Stamp the “Our Friendship Isn’t One Big Thing” in Rich Razzleberry color on the Stitched Rectangle paper.  The sentiment is from Beauty Abounds stamp set.
• Stamp the “Leaves” in Soft Sea Foam color on the Stitched Rectangle paper.  The Leaf is from Wonderful Romance stamp set.
• Use the Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the Stitched Rectangle over the vellum paper.
• Stamp the “It’s A Million Little Things” in Rich Razzleberry color on inside Whisper White paper.  The sentiment is from Beauty Abounds stamp set.
• Stamp the “Leaves” in Soft Sea Foam color on the inside Whisper White paper.  The Leave is from Wonderful Romance stamp set.
• Put the pearls in the center of the cut out leave border.
