Trimming Home Christmas Countdown Calendar

I love little surprises!!  That is the reason I LOVE advent calendar because you get a little surprise everyday!!!  Stamp Up had this Christmas Advent Countdown Calendar Project Kit last year.  I am so glad this cute project is back in the holiday catalog this year. This all-inclusive Christmas Countdown Project Kit contains everything you need to create a impressive handcrafted advent décor.

I have an idea to make the “TOPPING” on the top of the calendar since last year.  When I see the houses from “Coming Home” stamp set, I know I have to make this happen this year.  You can capture the feel of a hometown holiday with the whimsical imagery of the Coming Home Stamps.  The matching dies will cut out a charming variety of homes, trees, landscapes and made your creation easy.

I followed the instructions from the Christmas Countdown Project Kit to create the calendar part.  Then I used the houses from “Coming Home” to create the “Topping”.

I stamped the houses in Pool Party, Real Red, Soft Suede, and Smoky Slate colors.  I hand cut the windows, doors and roofs from the houses and then attached them to the house with pop dots.  This is the way I “color” the houses.

I also used the super cute “star” from “ALL THE TRIMMINGS EMBELLISHMENTS” as the tree top.
