Card: Tea Together

As you know that Chinese people like to drink tea. The tea set we use is very different with the western style of the tea set. The Chinese tea pot usually comes with several little cups. The cups we used usually don’t come with the handle.

The western style of the tea pot is more feminine and elegant looking. The cups come with the handles and they look like coffee cups. Today I want to show you a Mother’s Day card that made with the beautiful elegant tea pot from the “Tea Together” stamp set.

Here are the measurements for the paper

Highland Heather – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 (cut 8 1/2 x 11 paper in half in long way)
Whisper White- 4 3/4 x 3 1/2,

4 x 4 1/2 (for the tea pot and label)

Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (DSP)- 4 x 5 1/4

Here is how:

Fold Highland Heather paper in half.
Embossed Whisper White paper in Tufted Dynamic pattern.
Glue the Embossed Whisper White paper to Botanical Butterfly DSP.
Wrapped the 6 1/2″ ribbon around the paper and glue the Whisper White and DSP paper on the Highland Heather card base.

Tied the 3″ ribbon on 6 1/2″ ribbon

Stamp the tea pot on the 4 x 4 1/2 Whisper White paper.
Stamp the flower on the tea pot: Use the sticky note on the tea pot handle because the flower image is larger than the tea pot. After stamped the flower on the tea pot, remove the sticky note.

Use Tea Time Framelits Dies to cut out the tea pot. I like to cut the image out before I color it. Sometimes the images does not cut out perfectly.
I used the Light Pool Party, Light Highland Heather, Dark Highland Heather , Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend Markers to color the tea pot.
