St. Patrick Lucky Owl Cookie Cutter

When I organized my “Craft Storage” room a couple weeks ago, I found some Shamrock Cookie Cutters that I bought on sale last year. I decided to make the Shamrock Cookie Cutter Ornament instead of candy treat this year. After a couple hours of work here is what I came up with. There isn’t any current products available that are for St. Patrick’s Day, so I used some of the retired products. I also used some of the items that I bought from the craft store. Here is the full picture of the ornament.

I used the hot glue gun to glue the St. Patrick’s Day ribbon that I found in the craft store around the cookie cutter. I used the same ribbon to tie a bow then used the baker’s twine to tie the bow on top of the cookie cutter. I also used the baker’s twine to add the hanging tail at the bottom of the cookie cutter. I glued glitter shamrock that I found in the store back to back to the baker’s twine.

For the St. Patrick’s Day, you must have the rainbow and the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies that are perfect for making the rainbow. The framelits Dies also come with dies used to cut out the sun, different kind of clouds and even a thunder!!

I used the Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Pineapple Punch, Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue and Gorgeous Grape to cut out each ray of the rainbow.

I glued the rays on the Whisper White Cardstock and trimmed the extra paper out. I also cut out two sliver clouds and glued them on both sides of the rainbow. This is what the rainbow looks like from the back.

I used the Owl Punch to create a “Leprechaun” owl. I used the 1 1/4″ scallop circle to create the owl wings. The leaves from the Bird punch are for the four-leaf clover. I glued the rainbow and owl to the cookie cutter. Here are some pictures from different angles.
