Springtime Impressions

I always like the butterflies. This new Springtime Impressions Thinlits has the new shape butterfly. This butterfly has very intricate details just like all of the butterflies that Stampin’ Up had in the past. It’s a great addition for the butterflies collection.

The other piece in the thinlits set is a very beautiful and detailed flower. I saw a lot of cards that were made with the pretty spring color. Since the weather is still cool, I decided to use Basic Black as the main color of the card to feature the pretty floral cut outs.

Here are the measurements for the paper

Basic Black – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 (cut 8 1/2 x 11 paper in half in long way)
Whisper White-
- (2) 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
- 5 1/4 x 4 (inside the card for message)
- scrap for the sentiment label

Here is how:

Fold the Basic Black paper in half.
Cut the flowers from the Basic Black paper by using Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies.

Cut the flowers from one 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Whisper White paper by using Springtime Impressions Thinlits Dies.

Lay the Whisper White cut out flowers on the 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Whisper White paper

Used the Sponge Daubers to color the flowers and leaves

Glue the colored Whisper White 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 behind the Basic Black card base.

Glue the Basic Black Floral cut out over the colored Whisper White paper. When I glue the Black floral cut out, I moved the cut out a little bit toward the right so you can see the some White colors.

Stamped the “Best Wishes” from Stitched All Around stamp set. Use Stitched Labels Framelits Dies to cut out the sentiment.
Used the Stampin’ Dimentions to put the label to the card. Before put the label on the card, I used the Silver Metallic Thread to make couple of loops and taped underneath it.

Put the Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the flower centers and in the background.
