Tomorrow is Valentine’s day.  We have bad snow weather forecasting starts tonight.  We probably will go pick up some sushi and celebrate this valentine’s day at home.  I think the snow day is also the perfect day to do the craft.

Do you have the experience to ink your lips on the paper?  I can never imprint the perfect lip.  The new ” Hearts & Kisses” stamp set from the Mini Catalog solve that problem.  I really like all the sentiments that come with the set.  This gives us more options to make different type of cards.

I used this stamp set to create this Valentine’s day card.  I also used the Envelope Punch Board to create the Love Letter.  I really like the way it turns out.  Hope you like it as I do.

Here are the measurements for the paper:

  • Poppy Parade:
    • 4 x 5 1/4
  • Basic White:
    • 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
    • scrap for lip and sentiment
  • Basic Black: 3 3/4 x 5
  • True Love DSP:
    • 5 x 5

Here is how to make this super cute card:

  • Fold Basic White CS in half as card base.
  • Glue Poppy Parade CS on card base.
  • Use Scripty 3D Embossing Folder and then glue on the card base.
  • Use “Always” Die to cut out “Love” in 4 x 5 ¼ Poppy Parade CS.
  • Stamp lip on White CS and punch it out with Kiss Punch
  • Stamp “Sealed with a kiss” on scarp paper. Cut only “Sealed with”
  • Use Envelope Punch Board to create “Love Letter”
    • Align left edge to 2 3/8 line and punch and score

    • Rotate paper 90 degrees counter clockwise and align it with the first scored line and then punch.

    • Repeat for all four sides.
    • Round corners with REVERSE PUNCH on the other side

    • Use sponge to shade the four sides of the envelope
    • Fold the envelope and use the sponge to shade the four sides of the folded envelope.
  • Glue “Love Letter” to the card base.
  • Glue “Love” to the card baes.
  • Attach Lip and sentiment to the card with pop dots.
