Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
I love to make treats. My friend gave me a super cute Owl stamp set a couple of years ago and I have not used it. I decided to make something out of this stamp set this year.
I have some clear pillow boxes and the small box of the Brach’s Conversation Hearts Candy fits into the box perfectly. I just simply made an arrow with the owl to tie on the box.
I stamped the Owl on the Whisper White card stock and colored it with the Stampin’ Blends. I used the Light Crumb Cake and Light Calypso Coral colors. After I colored the Owl I cut it around the outlines. I leave some space on the top of the Owl so I can punch a hole on it to tie the ribbon later. I also cut a 3 x 3/4 strip in Patel Pink Color to stamp the “Love You Owlways” in Real Red Ink.
I used the second small long heart from “Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies” to cut out 6 hearts to make the arrow.
I folded all 6 hearts half in the long way. Four of the hearts are for the back of the arrows and two hearts are for the front of the arrows.
To make the back end of the arrow, I glued them back to back. Before I glued all four pieces completely, I inserted a Candy Stick in it . I wanted to make sure the hearts attached to the stick so I used cloth pins to secure it while the glue was drying.
The front side of the arrow are from two hearts glued back to back.
I tied a bow with this lovely 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon. The ribbon comes in two colors: Very Vanilla and Whisper White. I used the Whisper White 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon in this project. I used the twine to tie the arrow, owl, and row together. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the owl on the box. Then I used the hot glue to glue the arrow part to the box to make sure the whole thing stayed on the box.
Here is what the side way of the treat looks like.
