If you are the Stampin Up Demonstrator, you will receive a quarterly magazine called ” Success”.  This magazine is full of great information for projects, techniques, business builders and more.

When I read the most current magazine, one page caught my eye, so I decided to make this project as my make-n-take project for my group meeting.

Here are the supplies:

  • Wood Slice:  If you are making the Key Chain or necklace, you can find these wood slices in the Jewelry department of the craft store.  I found these wood slices in Hobby Lobby.  These wood slices are finer and thinner.

If you are making the Ornament or Coaster, you can find the wood slice in the Wood department.  These wood slices are in larger sizes and thicker.  You also need to drill the hole by yourself if you need one.

  • Key Chain:  There are several metal choices.  I picked the brass color for this project because, I want to add “Bird Ballad Trinkets” to the key chain.
  • Bird Ballad Trinkets
  • Stamp:  I used “Free as a bird” stamp set in this project.
  • Stampin’ Blend Markers: Light Granny Apple Green, Light Flirty Flamingo, Light Crumb Cake, Light Pool Party, Light Daffodil Delight
  • Mod Podge and brush

Here is how:

  • Stamp the image to the wood slice.  Because the wood is not a smooth surface, so the image will not be very clear and sharp.

  • Color the image with the Stampin’ Blend Markers.

  • If the outline of the image is not clear, use the black marker to fix it.

  •  Use the Mod Podge to seal the image and let it dry
  • Put the wood slice on the Key Chain.
  • Add the trinket to the key chain.

Here are all the key chains that my girls made.
