You are probably like me have a lot of these long pieces left over from cutting the layered card bases.  These strips are not only great to use as the greeting window on the cards but they can also be used to create the beautiful weave paper.

Here is how:
1) You need to gather all of the strips that you have.  It can be different weigh.
2) You will use one wide strip as a base, and then you glue the strips to it as picture showed below. To glue the strips on the paper will help you work on the weave part easier.
When you think that you have glued enough vertical strips (wide enough), you can start to work on the horizontal sides.

3) You put the strip under the first vertical strip and then over the second vertical strip.  And then under and over until you go through all of the vertical strips
4) After you finish the first horizontal strip, you start to work on the second horizontal strip.  The second horizontal strip is weaved as a offsite way like you did for the first horizontal strip.
If you go under for the first horizontal strip, you will go over for the second horizontal strips
You need to do it alternate way for the rest of the strips.
When you feel the paper is big enough.  Glue the weaved paper to a card base and trim the shape you like.
I cut my “Special Scrap DSP” into the heart shape.  You may need to do some touch up glue from the edges so the heart will look nice.
I use this heart shape to make a simple Thank you card.
I am ending the Earth Day Scarp Paper Card series here.  Hope you get some new ideas to use your scrap paper.  When we send out love through the cards we made, I hope you show some love to our ONE and ONLY Earth too!!!
