I always enjoy receiving hand written notes or cards from people. I can feel the love through the paper passing to me. Do you feel the same way? I always have a lot of Birthday and Thank you cards ready to send out. Today I want to share with you a happy birthday card full with happy colors.
Here are the measurements for the paper:
- Coastal Cabana – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 (cut 8 1/2 x 11 paper in half in long way).
- Gorgeous Grape- 4 1/4 x 4 1/4
- Whisper White- Scrap for circle and gift
- How Sweet It is Designer Series Paper (DSP): (2) 4 x 1 1/4, (1) 4 x 1 1/2
Here is how:
- Fold Coastal Cabana paper in half.
- Stamped “Gift” on Whisper White paper and colored with Stampin Blends: Light Lovely Lipstick, Dark Daffodil Delight and Dark Highland Heather colors. Hand cut the “Gift” out.

- Glue the How Sweet It is DSP on Gorgeous Grape 4 1/4 square paper. The 4x 1 1/2 strip is in the middle. The paper I chose from this package has Highland Heather with multi color polka dots on one side and Coastal Cabana/Bermuda Bay strips in the other side.
- Before you glue the 4 1/4 Gorgeous Grape paper on the Coastal Cabana card base, tie the Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon on the card first. Here is how to make a “fake” tie. First, tape the 5″ ribbon around the 4 1/4 Gorgeous Grape paper.

Push the 4″ ribbon under the taped ribbon and tie a bow. Trim the extra ribbon if needed.

- Use the Stitched Shapes Framelits to cut the circle in Whisper White color.
- I used the Stampin’ Dimensionals to glue the gift on the Whisper White Stitched circle and attached the circle over the ribbon on the card.
I glued the How Sweet It is DSP on the 4 1/2 square Gorgeous Grape paper alternately. The cards turn out pretty good in both combinations.
