I found some pretty sticky note sets at Michaels on the clearance shelf a couple years ago. I finally got a chance to be creative with it.  I created this note pad with the Beautiful Day stamp set.  I also used the Brusho Crystal Colour powder to color the butterfly.  I think this turned out very pretty.  The girls in the club also enjoyed being creative with the Brusho Crystal powder.
This is a great little gift that you can made quick and everybody will love.

You will need:
Paper:
-Melon Mambo Card Stock: 4 1/2″ x 12″- scored at 2 1/2″, 2 3/4″, 8 1/2″, 8 3/4″; scrap for scallop oval
(You can change the size to fit your sticky note pad, my pad came in a set and the size was 4″ x 5 3/4″)
-Sweet Sugarplum Cad Stock:3 3/4″x 4 3/4″
-Wisteria Wonder Cad Stock: 3 1/2″x 4 1/2″
-Whisper White Card Stock: 3 1/4″x 4 1/4″; scrap for the “For You” and butterfly
-Thick card stock (The thick card stock came from the Glimmer paper that I saved): 4″ x 5 3/4″ (Same size as your stick note pad)

Ink:
-Melon Mambo
-VersaMark

Others:
Brusho Crystal Colour
-Aqua Painters/Stampin Spritzers
-Melon Mambo Ribbon
-Tear & Tape Adhesive
-Stampin Dimensionals
-Layered Leaves Embossing Folder
-Black embossing powder

This is how to make it:
1) Tape the ribbon on the thick card stock to make two loops.  These loops are for the pen so you need to adjust the size to fit the pen that you want to attach to the note pad.  You also want to make sure to leave some room so the pad can close later.

2) Glue the sticky note pad on the top of the thick card stock.  The ribbon should be between the thick card stock and sticky note pad.
3) Glue the note pad to the Melon Mambo card stock
4) Embossed Whisper White paper with the Layered leaves embossing folder.  Glue the Sweet Sugarplum, Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White card stocks together.  Then glue them to the Melon Mambo paper.  Make sure you only glue on the top flap of the Melon Mambo card stock so you can open the pad.
5) Don’t separate the Velcro.  Put the sticky back Velcro in the back of the lower part of the Sweet Sugarplum card stock.  Peel the back of the Velcro and then close the flap.  In this way, the Velcro will be in the right position that you need.

Don’t separate the Velcro

6) Decorate the front with the butterfly.
I stamped the butterfly with the Versa Mark Ink and then embossed the butterfly with the black embossing powder.  I used the Aqua Painters to wet the paper and then sprinkle the Brusho Crystal Colour on it to add the color.  If you think you don’t have enough water, you can use the spritzer to spray some water on it.
There are couple of ways to use the Brusho Crystal Colour powder.  You just need to play with it to get the effect that you want.  I will show you how to do it in my later posts.
