Card: Back on your feet

Recently, a lot of my friends are going through some challenges in life, so I want to send them the encouragement cards. I think ” Back on your feet” stamp set has the perfect sentiments that I want to tell them, so I decided to make some cards from this CUTE stamp set.

This is a quick and simple card. I used the same template for all three cards. I was using the Bright Designer Series Paper from the last year’s collection. The new collection for this year has very similar “dots” design. I actually believe all of the patterns in the new collection will look good in this card.

Here is the pictures for each individual card.

Here are the measurements for the paper:

Whisper White:
- (2) 3 3/4 x 5 (One for inside the card for the message and one for the card front)
- 3 x 2 (stitched oval)
Pacific Point:
- 8 ½ x 5
Crumb Cake:
- 5 1/4 x 4
- 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 (scallop oval)
Old Olive:
- scraps for the leaves
Bright 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (DSP)
- 3 3/4 x 3

Here is how to make the card:

Fold Pacific Point CS in half in the long way as card base.
Glue one of the Whisper White CS inside the card for message.
Glue Crumb Cake CS in the card front.

Glue the DSP on Whisper White CS
Stamp the sentiment on the Whisper White CS
Wrap the Linen Thread around the Whisper White CS/DSP and tie a bow.
Glue the Whisper White CS/DSP to the Crumb Cake CS in the card front.

Use “Layering Ovals Die” and “Stitched Shapes Dies” to cut out scallop oval in Crumb Cake color and oval in Whisper White color. I like the stitched detail look, so I used the “Stitched Shaped Dies” to cut out the stitched oval. You can cut both oval and scallop oval with the “Layering Ovals Die”.
Stamp the images on Whisper White oval.
Use Stampin Blends to color the images.
Glue the Whisper White oval to Crumb Cake scallop oval.
Use “pop dots” to attach the oval to the card base.
Use the “leaf punch” or any leave dies that you have to cut out two leaves and insert them behind the oval.
