During this stay home time, I was able to clean and reorganize my craft room.  I found a lot of cards that I created over time but never shared with you.  I think now will be a great time to share them with you.

One of the reasons that I like Stampin Up Designer Series Paper is because, each pack of paper has 12 sheets of patterned paper: 2 each of 6 double-sided designs.  A lot of times one side of the design has some kind of theme and the other side of paper has some general designs which can be used in any projects.

I believe that you are like me that has a lot of little pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from all of the projects that you have been working on.  The way I saved my small pieces of scarp designer series paper is to keep everything in its original pack.  The sticker on the bag always tells you what is the coordination colors for the DSP, so you can easily find the best color combination for your project to use the DSP with.

The card that I want to show you today was created from the “From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper “.  I am using this “valentine” paper to make “non valentine” card.   During this difficult time, I think “Artfully Aware” will be a great stamp set we can use to create this meaningful card.

Here are the measurements for the paper:

  • Basic Black:
    • 8 ½ x 5 ½
  • Whisper White:
    • 4 x 5 ¼ (inside the card)
    • ½ x 3 ¾ (sentiment)
    • 2 ¾ x 3 ¾ (oval)
  • Real Red:
    • ½ x 4
  • From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • (2) 1 ½ x 4

Here is how to make the card:

  • Fold Basic Black CS in half as card base.
  • Glue the 4 x 5 ¼ Whisper White CS inside the card for the message.
  • Glue two DSP and Real Red strips on the card base.
  • Stamp the sentiment on the Whisper White strip.
  • Cut Whisper White strip (sentiment) into banner look.
  • Use “pop dots” to attach the Whisper White sentiment banner to the card base.
  • Cut stitched oval with Stitched Shape Dies.
  • Stamp the image on the Whisper White oval and attach it to the card base with “pop dots”.
