Card: Above the Clouds

The card that I want to share with you today is the make-n-take project in my Annual BOGO Sale. I also want to use this card to feature the new 2019-2021 In Colors. The new In Colors are more on the pastel side. Not like the 2018-2020 colors that are very bright. Have you noticed that the In Colors in the same year work well together. Today I am using the Recoco Rose, Seaside Spray and Purple Posy color in this project.

Here are the measurements for the paper:

Whisper White:
- 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 (cut 8 1/2 x 11 paper half in the long way)
- 3 1/2 x 1/2 (for the sentiment)
Rococo Rose
- 3 1/4 x 1/2
Seaside Spray
- 3 x 1/2
Soft Suede
- scrap for the hot air balloon basket
In Color 6×6 DSP (2019-2021):
- 2 x 3 (for the hot air balloon)

Here is how:

Fold the Whisper White card Stock in half as card base.
Used the Stitched Rectangles Die to cut the Seaside Spray frame. I laid two dies together and ran through the Big Shot to cut out the frame. If you have trouble to make the framelit dies stay when you run through the Big Shot, you can use the washi tape to make them stay.

Stamped the clouds with Seaside Spray color in Whisper White card base.
Stamped the seagulls with Black color in Whisper White card base.
Glued the Seaside Spray frame to the card base.
Stamped the hot air balloon on Rococo Rose and Purple Posy DSP.
Used the Hot Air Balloon Punch to punch out the stamped hot air balloon.
Used the Hot Air Balloon Punch to punch out the basket in Soft Suede color.
Stamped the sentiment on 3 1/2 x 1/2 Whisper White sentiment strip in Black Ink. Cut the angle on the right side of the sentiment strip to create the banner look.
Also cut the angle on the Rococo Rose and Purple Posy strips to create the banner look.
Glued all three banners together. I cut the strips in difference lengths, so when you line the left side of the strip together, you will create the uneven banner look.

Glue the banners to the card base.
Glued the hot air balloons and baskets to the card. I glued the Purple Posy balloon to the card and used the Stampin’ Dimensionals to attached the Rococo Rose balloon to the card to give some dimension to the card.
Used the Black twin to tie a bow and attached the bow to the hot air balloon. I know the Black Twin is not available in the current book. You can used any other color twin for this project.
